Frog Lake Campground is located right next to the lake and has 33 campsites for tents, trailers and RVs in Mt. Hood National Forest. As the name implies, you’ll be lulled to sleep by frog song.
Campground amenities include drinking water and vault toilets. Firewood is also available for sale from the camp host. There’s also a boat launch available at the lake. Each campsite has a table, fire ring and grate. Cell service is poor.
Outdoor recreation includes fishing, swimming, canoeing, kayaking, boating, hiking and biking. In addition to frog spotting, there’s also a variety of other wildlife to see in the area.
Other campgrounds in the area include Clear Lake and Little Crater Lake. Rock Creek Campground is also nice.

We met our Gresham family at the Frog Lake picnic area today. The lake is absolutely beautiful and the view of Mt. Hood is awe inspiring. However, we were so sad and disgusted by the trash left behind by visitors: bags of fish guts, wrappers of all kinds, plastic bags, parts of a bbq, cups, toilet paper, and fishing line. The vault toilet was absolutely filthy and there was garbage all over the floor inside and out. Had there been a dumpster or garbage can available, we would have put on our plastic gloves and done our best to clean up the area.
You’rea good person. This is driving me crazy too. My husband and I carry gloves and bags now to pick up others trash. Infuriates me.
