Gorge Overview

Gorge Campground Metolius River

Gorge Campground offers 18 single-family campsites set among towering Ponderosa Pines and is next to the upper Metolius River in the Deschuters National Forest.  The campsites are large and can accommodate tents, trailers or RVs (up to 50 feet). Each site also has a table, fire ring and grate. The campground has vault toilets, but no potable water.  Cell Service is poor.

Gorge Campground – Area Recreation

The campground is a bit more isolated and quieter than the other campgrounds along the Metolius River. Outdoor recreation includes fishing, hiking, mountain biking, picnicking and wildlife viewing.

Other campgrounds in the area include Pine Rest, Smiling River, Riverside, Jack Creek, Lower Canyon Creek, Allingham, Camp Sherman and Allen Springs.
