Ivan Oakes Campground has 25 single-family campsites and is located on the north shore of Lookout Point Lake. Campsites are large and are nestled in a nice forest. The campground is popular in the summer but clears out as the reservoir is drawn down in the fall.
Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Each site also has a table, fire ring and grill. Parking spurs range from 35 to 72 feet. Campground amenities include drinking water, vault toilets and trash collection. A boat ramp is located about a mile away at Signal Point. Kayaks, canoes and paddle-boards can access the lake from the campground. Cell service is good in the area.
Other campgrounds in the area include Black Canyon, Broken Bowl, Dolly Varden, Clark Creek Organization Camp (1 group site), Fall Creek SRA, Bedrock and Puma.
Outdoor recreation in the area includes boating, fishing, swimming, water sports, hiking, mountain biking, picnicking and wildlife viewing. The Eugene-to-Pacific Crest Trail (EPCT), a 108 mile long recreation trail that connects the city of Eugene to the Cascade mountain range, runs along the campground providing easy access for hikers.
