Outdoor recreation in the area includes fishing, kayaking, canoeing, mountain biking, hiking, stargazing, picnicking and wildlife viewing. The Prineville Reservoir is also nearby and is a popular area for boating, water sports and fishing. Hike the short riverside trail to the single, old growth Ponderosa pine tree, a relative rarity in the Crooked River canyon.
