Riverside Campground Mt. Hood National Forest Oregon
Riverside Overview
Riverside campground has 16 reservable campsites with most sitting right on the banks of the Wild & Scenic Clackamas River in the Mt. Hood National Forest. Only campsites #8 and #12 are not on the river bank. A nice forest of Douglas fir also provideS shade and privacy between campsites.
Campsites are for tents-only and can accommodate up to 2 vehicles and 6 people per site.. Each site also has a table, fire ring and grate. Campground amenities include vault toilets and drinking water. Cell service is not available.
Riverside – Area Recreation
Outdoor activities in the area include fishing, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, hunting, picnicking and wildlife viewing. Also, the 5-mile Riverside National Recreation Trail is not far from the campground. It’s quit popular for hiking and mountain biking
Other campgrounds in the area include Shellrock Creek, Riverford, Rainbow and Lake Harriet.
