Riverside At Detroit Overview
Riverside At Detroit Campground has 38 campsites set in a forest of mature cedars and Douglas fir trees along the Santiam River. The campground is comprised of two sections. The southeast (upriver) section has more secluded sites on a bluff overlooking the river. Northwest (downriver) sites have partial shade and a more open setting. Riverfront sites include 12-30.
The campground is generally open early May to late September. Amenities include drinking water, vault toilets and trash collection. Firewood is also available to purchase from the camp host. Cell service is not available in the area. Campsites are mostly on the small side but can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Each site has a gravel parking spur (20 to 35 feet), table, fire ring and grill.

Outdoor recreation in the area includes fishing, mountain biking, hiking, picnicking and wildlife viewing.
Other campgrounds in the area include Marion Forks, Whispering Falls, Santiam Flats and Hoover.
