Riverside Campground has 12 (tent only) campsites and is located in a forested area next to the upper Metolius River in the Deschutes National Forest. The campground is open year-round with reservations accepted mid May to late September.

The tent-only campsites are about 20 to 200 feet from the parking area. Campers must haul their camping gear a short distance to the camping site.  Each campsite also has a table, fire ring and grill. Campground amenities include water (hand pump), vault toilets and trash collection.  Cell service is poor in the area.

Other campgrounds in the area include Cold Springs, Indian Ford, Lower Canyon Creek, Smiling River, Allingham, Gorge, Camp Sherman, Pine Rest, Allen Springs and Jack Creek.

Riverside Campground – Area Recreation & Activities

Outdoor recreation in the area includes fishing, hiking, mountain biking, picnicking and wildlife viewing.

The Camp Sherman Fish Viewing Platform is also nearby and allows visitors the chance to view a variety of types of fish.
