Rujada Campground Umpqua National Forest Oregon
Rujada Overview
Rujada Campground has 15 campsites (8 are reservable) and is next to Layng Creek in the Umpqua National Forest. There are 12 single family campsites and 3 double campsites. All can accommodate tents, trailers or RVs. Each site also has a table, fire ring and grate.
Campground amenities include drinking water, trash collection, and vault and flush toilets. There’s also a day use picnic area and playground at the campground. Cell service is not available in the area.
Other campgrounds in the area include Black Canyon (10 miles), Schwarz Park next to Dorena Lake (13 miles) and Pine Meadows next to Cottage Lake (16 miles).
Rujada – Area Recreation & Activites
Hikers can access the Swordfern Trail (#1404) from the campground. This 1.8 mile trail loops through the forest and around the campground, also taking you along the shore of Layng Creek. Other outdoor recreation in the area includes fishing, biking, picnicking and wildlife viewing.
