Sunnyside Campground 013

Sunnyside Campground has 13 campsites in a wooded setting next to the South Fork of the McKenzie River on the southeast side of Cougar Reservoir.

Campsites are on the small side and best suites for tent camping. Trailers and motorhomes are not recommended due to the steep entrance into the campground.

Amenities include vault toilets and trash collection. Each site also has a table, fire ring and grill. Firewood is also available to purchase from the camp host. Cell service is not available in the area.

Sunnyside Campground – Area Recreation & Activities

Outdoor recreation in the area includes boating, fishing, kayaking, canoeing, paddle-boarding, swimming, water sports, hiking, mountain biking, picnicking and wildlife viewing. Terwilliger Hot Springs is also nearby if you want to soak in the warm water.

Other campgrounds in the area include Slide Creek, Cougar Crossing, Horse Creek Group and French Pete.
