Tillicum Beach campground offers 60 single-family campsites (most with beachfront views), and 18 sites have both electric and water hookups. There are 22 walk-in (first-come, first-serve) sites. Due to the campground’s popularity, it’s a good idea to make reservations in advance.  The reservable sites with water & electric hookups include 24, 27, 28, 32, 33, 34, 35, 38, 42, 45, 47, 55, 57 and 59. Each site also has a picnic table, fire ring and grate.

Campground amenities include flush toilets and drinking water are provided, but there are no showers. Firewood is also available for sale from the camp host. Cell service is not available.

Tillicum is a coastal campground and lies a couple miles south of where the Alsea River meets the Pacific Ocean. Tillicum is perfectly perched on the sandy beach yet it still offers some shade. The campground offers views of both the ocean and the Coastal Range. Check in tie is 2pm and check out is 12:00pm.

If you’re heading north, you may want to check  South Beach State Park. It’s right on the coast and about 26 miles north on highway 101. And to the south is Beachside State Recreation Site and Carl G. Washburn Memorial State Park.

How do you make reservations for a tent campsite

  2. Richard Snyder says:

How do you make reservations at this park

    • Hi Richard, You can click the ‘Make a Reservation’ green button found on the Tillicum Beach Campground page. It will route you to our affiliate partner (Reserve America) to check availability and make a reservation.

  3. M Hamilton says:

Please update the phone number listed. 541-547-3639 is NOT the campground, but a landline for a Yachats resident. (Me) Thank you!

  4. reserveamerica isn’t showing tilicum campground, where can we make reservations

  5. Dwight Stiles says:

are there any first come sites and if so which ones?

  6. I stayed there this week, had a really nice spot, although some didn’t look like I would like them. The camp hosts were really nice, helped me move the picnic table. You can walk on the beach, but there are no trails to anywhere.

  7. Donna Cook says:

Do you honor the Golden Age Pass that reduces the fee by 50%?

  8. are campfires allowed on the beach?

  9. Under recreation.gov they do show 20 sites that are walk-up. Those are first come first serve right?

    • Hi Chris,
I’m not seeing the ’20 walk-up sites’ listed on Recreation.gov. To our knowledge, all 60 campsites are reservable. You may trying calling the campground (541-547-3679), or Rec.gov (877-444-6777) to double check.

  10. The website actually show 22 sites as walk-ups. If this is not the case, it should be corrected so that the availability of more than a third of the campground is shown. That would be very helpful is, in fact, all are reservable in theory.

  11. Michael says:

The map indicates no dump station, where is the nearest one?

    • Hi Michael,

That’s correct in that there is no dumpstation at Tillicum Beach campground. The nearest dump station to Tillicum Beach campground is located about 5 miles to the north at SW Starr Street and Highway 101 in Waldport, Oregon. It is run by the town and has a $10 fee (honor system).

  12. What are the laws around pot smoking in your park? I rented a space for four nights and only lasted two because of excessive pot smoking in the campsite next door. I expect fresh air at the coast and all I got was the smell of pot day and night. Very frustrated.

    • Hi Lynne,
CampsitePhotos.com is not associated with the campgrounds listed on our website. We provide the photos of each campsite, links to make reservations and campground info. We’re not sure the laws/policy of cannabis use in (Oregon) public campgrounds like Tillicum Beach. You may try calling the campground directly to inquire: 541 547-3679
