Waxmyrtle Comments & Reviews
Visited Waxmyrtle Campground lately? We'd love to hear about your adventure. Did you find us useful? Did we forget something? Anything our community should know before heading out to Waxmyrtle?
Looks lovely in the photos, but it’s been mangled by aggressive shrub trimming. Many campsites have debris piled up and nowhere to pitch a tent that’s level. Only a few campers were there the first week of June. We ended up in #41 which had a nice undisturbed grotto of blooming salal and rhododendron. #15 still looks good too. Proximity to the Siltcoos River Trail and Lagoon Trail is great. Beautiful weather for easy hikes and bird spotting. Oh, and the bathrooms with flush toilets were nice and clean, lol. Would go back once the shredded landscape recovers and the sites are cleaned up.
