William M Tugman State Park campground is located on Eel Lake and has 94 campsites with electric/water hookups, as well as 16 yurts (8 are pet friendly). Most campsites have plenty of shade from large shore pines. Each campsite also has a table, fire ring and grill.
Park amenities include a nice day-use area, drinking water, flush toilets, hot showers, an RV dump station, playground and hiker/biker camps. Firewood is also available for sale at the campground. Pets/dogs are allowed in the campground on a leash.
Outdoor recreation includes boating, canoeing, kayaking, sailing, fishing, swimming, hiking, biking and wildlife viewing. In fact, you may just spot an osprey, crane, eagle, deer or other forest creatures as you hiking along the trails. The Oregon Dunes Recreation area is also about a mile away.
Jessie M. Honeyman Memorial State Park is another option you may like. It is about 28 miles north on Highway 101.
