Ice Cap Campground has 20 campsites and is located in a beautiful forest of Douglas fir on a bluff above the McKenzie River and Carmen Reservoir. Some campsites have sneak peaks of the reservoir.  Ice Cap Creek also runs along the eastern edge of the campground. Both reservable and first-come, first-serve campsites are available.

Sites 8 to 15 are walk-to (tent only) and range from about 30 to 100 feet from the parking area. The other campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs (up to 20 feet). Each campsite also has a table, fire ring and grill.  The campground road is paved and parking spurs are gravel. Amenities include drinking water (pump), vault toilets and trash collection. There’s also a nice day use area next to the campground and hiking trail to the Koosah Falls. You can also continue hiking or drive to Sahalie Falls (about 2/3 of a mile). Cell service is not available in the area.
