Caledonia State Park has 2 campgrounds including Chinquapin Hill (sites 1 – 130) and Hosack Run (sites 131 – 185). Chinquapin Hill has 18 full hookups and 6 sites with electric hookups. Hosack Run has 17 full hookup sites and 21 with electric. Group camping and a lodge are also available.
Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Parking spurs range from 10 to 60 feet. Each site also has a table, fire ring and grill. Pets are allowed at Hosack Run, but not at Chinquapin Hill campground. Generators are okay to use from 8am to 9pm.
Amenities include drinking water, flush toilets, warm-water showers, trash collection and sanitary dump stations. There is also an amphitheater and playground at Chinquapin Hill campground. Wifi is available inside the park office and about 50 feet outside of the building, but not available in the campground. Firewood is available for purchase from the camp host.
The 1,125-acre park is nestled within South Mountain, the northern terminus of the well-known Blue Ridge Mountain of Maryland and Virginia. Outdoor recreation includes hiking, bike riding, fishing, hunting, swimming, golfing (18-hole par 68), picnicking and wildlife viewing. Nearby Gettysburg National Military Park is also worth the visit.

I stated in the Hosack Run part because I brought my dog. 133 is right along the creek and is one of the few that has some privacy. This is best for a small camper or sleeping van. Beautiful site.
