Pine Grove Furnace State Park (Charcoal Hearth) campground has 70 campsites next to Fuller Lake and at the northern tip of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. There are 46 sites with electric hook-ups. Each site also has a picnic table, fire ring and grill.
Campground amenities include drinking water, flush toilets, hot showers and a dump station. There’s also a playground, amphitheater, visitor center, camp store and camp host that will sell you firewood.
There’s a variety of outdoor recreation available, both on the land and water. Activities include boating, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, swimming, hunting, hiking, picnicking and wildlife viewing. You can also enjoy snowshoeing, cross-country skiing and snowmobiling in the winter. ATV trail riding is also available in nearby Michael State Forest.
