Raccoon Creek State Park is the states largest, encompassing 7,572 acres. The campground has 172 campsites situated in a forested area near Raccoon Lake. Primitive backcountry camping, modern cabins and a lakeside lodge are also available. There are also 6 group camping areas including Apache (60 people), Blackfeet (20 people), Cherokee (60 people), and Mohawk (40 people).
Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs (20-78 feet). Each site also has 20/30/50 amp electric hookups, a table, fire ring and grate.
Campground/park amenities include drinking water, flush toilets, showers and a dump station. There’s also a camp/gift store, playground, boat launch and amphitheater.
ADA campsites include B1, B2, B3, C38, E2, E3, F21 and F23. Pets are allowed in loops C and F.
Raccoon Creek State Park – Area Recreation & Activities
Outdoor recreation includes boating, fishing, swimming, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, picnicking, hunting and wildlife viewing. Boat rentals are available at the lake and include canoes, rowboats, kayaks and hydro-bikes. Visitors can also enjoy cross-country skiing, ice skating and snowmobiling in the winter.
