Your web site stinks. It is very hard to find things. All I want is to get a price for a site. Couldn’t do it.

Hi H,
At Fishermen’s Memorial State Park campground – campsites 1-105 are full hookups, campsites 141-182 are electric only hookups, and campsites 106-140 have no hookups.
There are also communal water spigots throughout the campground.
Was wondering how far in advance are you booking. I am a resident of RI looking to borrow /rent a motor home to camp next summer for family of 10. How much would it cost for full hook up /electric and water
Hi Phyllis,

Can I put a small (10 foot) teardrop camper on a tent site?
Hi Michelle,
Yes, you can have a teardrop camper (10-feet) in a tent side, provided it and towing vehicle fit in parking area. Have fun!
Area 3, which is Tent Only, only allows tents or soft-sided pop-up campers. Hard-sided campers, like teardrops, are not allowed. I just camped there (tent) and specifically asked about teardrops, as I have one on order. The staff informed me that they are not allowed in Area 3.
Besides, Area 3 has very short drive ways that would not allow a car and camper anyway.
We just overnighted (tent camping) at Fishermen’s and wanted to point a few things out.
The photos currently posted at campsitephotos.com are out of date. Most of the vegetation between campsites are gone, meaning there is less privacy that expected.
Also, Area 3, which is for Tent and soft-sided pop-ups only, are not very tent friendly. Sites are not very level, with barely any room to pitch anything bigger than a two person tent and still have it be level. You may want to call to see if the site you are looking at can support the tent you plan on bringing.
Grounds and rest rooms were well maintained and clean, and staff was out keeping things clean in the morning.
Thanks Chris!
Appreciate the info/review and heads up on the changes at the campground. We will schedule a photographer to reshoot later this year.
Is it considered generally safe for kids to ride their bikes around the access roads in the tents area? Is there access to a local bike trail from the park? How is it to bike from the park to something like an ice cream stand, are the roads very busy surrounding the area of the camp ground? Many thanks!
Hi Mary,
Unfortunately CampsitePhotos.com doesn’t have an employee over at Fishermen’s Memorial State Park so we can’t comment/answer your questions. Maybe you can reach someone at the park that can help: 401 789-8374
Very nice place and well ran!!! Made vacation affordable on a low low budget!!!
Are small, quiet generators permitted in the soft pop-up camper area that does not have electricity?
Hi Jeffrey,
Generator use is permitted between the hours of 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM only – throughout the campground (including area w/o electric hookups).
