Calhoun Falls State Park Overview
Calhoun Falls State Park Campground has 86 single-family (mixed-used) campsites and is located on the shores of Lake Russell. Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. All 86 campsites have water and electric hookups, paved parking pads, a table, fire ring and grate. There are also 14 rustic tent campsites. Most sites are very large and spacious with plenty of shade. Many campsites are located right along the lake shore. Group camping is also available. The campground has drinking water, restrooms with flush and hot showers, a dump station, and laundry facilities. Theres also a visitors center and campsite store with snacks, food, ice, wood, supplies and more!
This is a very popular campground, so reservations are highly recommended. Check in time is 2:00 pm and check out time is 12:00 pm. There are a maximum of two vehicles and 6 people per site.
Calhoun Falls State Park – Area Recreation
Calhoun Falls State Park also has a marina, boat ramp, 36 boat rental slips, picnic areas, fishing pier, playground, equestrian trials and some dandy hiking trails. Outdoor recreation includes boating, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, swimming, water skiing and other water sports, hiking, biking, picnicking, horseback riding, volleyball, basketball, tennis, and bird watching until the crows come home!
Saddlers Creek State Park is another option. It is 31 miles to the north on Lake Hartwell.

Where’s my he closest place there to Calhoun Falls State Park campground to rent boats and golf carts?

The Lake Russell Marina at Calhoun Falls State Park has boat rentals. We’re not sure where the closest place is to rent golf carts. Perhaps one of our readers can answer that question.

Sewer hook up??

Each of the 86 campsites at Calhoun Falls State Park have water & electric (30-amp) hookups. None have sewer hookups. The park does have a dump station.
We’ve been camping their for years we the campers need wi-fi a lot of sports on weekends and most campers have to pay for hot spot on their phones. Most campers have fire stick wi fi would be a great value to your customers.the new park at hesters bottom have wi-fi Thank you
Do I need to make a reservation or can I just show up?

Calhoun Falls State Park does take camping reservations. I recommend you click on the “Make A Reservation” button to check availability, pricing and reserve a site (if you want). You can also see how many sites are available for when you plan to go.
Is the park closing in December to do upgrades?
