  1. It says the campground is open year round but it’s not. Only open the end of March until labor day.

  2. Jonathan says:

Just thinking of staying here but have not seen anything about a playground for children.. was just wondering if it was a mistake that it wasn’t included or is there not a playground on the park? Thanks in advance!!

  3. The new website campground maps does not show bathroom or dumpster locations at Hawe. Since I don’t tow a vehicle, I bike to these points. Where are they located in your campground, near what sites?

  4. Can we bring our golf cart?

    • Hi Ldorn,

Usually campgrounds allows personal golf carts, if you do not exceed the # of vehicles per campsite. I’d call Hawe Creek directly to confirm at: 864 443-5441

  5. When can you start making reservations for 2020?

    • Hi George,
For Hawe Creek campground you can make a reservation 6 months prior to the day of arrival at 7AM PST. So, for example, if you wanted to arrive on May 24, 2020, the first day you could try and make a reservation is on November 24, 2019 at 7AM PST.

      • I was looking to make a reservation in April and it says unavailable on all sites. Does the campground have to be open before you can reserve a site.

      • Hi George,
If you click on the ‘Make A Reservation’ button you’ll be directed to the Hawe Creek reservation page on Recreation.gov. From there you can check availability, pricing and make a reservation. Hawe Creek Campground is open late March through early October. I checked and Recreation.gov does show campsite availability each day in April. See screen shot below.

  6. I got to that part but, when you try to reserve a site it says closed or there is an X on every site, it doesn’t matter when you try to reserve.

    • Hi George,
I see what you mean. Not sure why Recreation.gov is showing all “X” when it initially indicates availability. I recommend contacting Recreation.gov directly. You can click HERE to chat or connect other ways, or give them a call at: 877-444-6777. Best of luck and let me know what you find out.

      • Hi, I called the number and was told that some campgrounds don’t start taking online reservations until the first of the year but, you can reserve a site by calling the 877-444-6777 number. I think I may have had this same issue a few years ago. Thanks for the help.

  7. Tonya Noffz says:

Love this campground!! Wish it was open year round. Fall camping is my families favorite time to camp. When we come to camp we book 6 to 8 sites each time. Would love to be able to camp her in October, November and December. Hope this will happen VERY SOON!!

  8. crystal fuller says:

is hawes creek going to be open all year around?

  9. MARIA TODD says:

Finally got in my camping in at this wonderful campground. So beautiful and peaceful. Amazed at how big the sites are! Will definitely camp here more often!!! My only regret is that its not open year round! I hope they change that! I’m ready to go back now!!

  10. Mary Donofri says:

Supposed to be open, but we got to the gate around noon and it was locked with no one in the booth. Very disappointed – March 29 2023 having fantastic warm weather and it is closed down.

  11. As many others have commented we wish this campground had a longer season or year round camping. This seems like money in the pocket and good business to have a longer season. I live locally and am amazed that just when beautiful fall weather starts the campground closes. Can these desires please get forwarded to those in power to maybe open the campground for longer season? Thank you for your attention to this concern. Ron
