James Island County Park Campground has 146 campsites and 10 cabins. It is open year-round and located a short-drive from downtown Charleston. There are 125 full hookup campsites, 15 tent campsites and 6 group campsites.  Each campsite also has a table, fire ring and grate.

Campground amenities include drinking water, flush toilet, hot showers, Wifi, laundry facilities, dump station, and trash recycling. Propane, ice and firewood are also available for sale.  The Park also has a fishing pond, activity center, water park/splash zone, dog park, playground, meeting halls, picnic areas, challenge, course, slack lines, bouldering/climbing wall, fishing dock and miles of mixed-use trails. Roundtrip shuttle bus service ($) is also available to Charleston, the McLeod Plantation and Folly Beach.

James Island County Park – Area Recreation & Activities

Visitors can enjoy fishing, kayaking, canoeing, biking, hiking, corn hole, ladder golf, horseshoes, bocce ball, picnicking and wildlife viewing.
