Hi Tammie,
You can click on the ‘Make A Reservation’ button on the Lake Water State Park campground page to check availability, pricing and make a reservation. Or you can go here: https://reserve.southcarolinaparks.com/lake-wateree
We stayed at site 15 for two nights. Site is on the lake with steps dug out for lake access. Our only complaint was that 2 women, their 3 children and with their dog decided that the area directly in front of us was a perfect place to stay all day. Played the radio loudly and swearing at the kids. I know it’s picky but come on!
If we check in our campsite on time
And then leave can we return at 10pm
Or so? Or do gates close into the park?
HI Ashley,
Campers can come and go 24 hours and access the campground. I recommend calling the park just in case something has changed: 803 482-6401
We are going to trailer our boat and camp. Can we leave our boat on the shore at night or do they have to be pulled out? Is there space to park the trailer for the night next to the camp sites? thanks.
Hi Courtney,
Not sure about that (being able to leave boat in water / on shore, or pulled out). There is a boat trailer parking lot available. I recommend you contact Lake Wateree State Park to check: lakewateree@scprt.com, or 803 482-6401.
