Mountain Bridge Campground South Carolina

Mountain Bridge Overview

Mountain Bridge Wilderness Area has 15 hike-to (tent-only) campsites located along the Middle Saluda River. The area connects Caesars Head State Park to Jones Gap State Park and includes 13,00 acres of pristine southern mountain forest. There are a number of trails that hikers can take between the parks.

As noted, each campsite is primitive (hike-to). Campers must pack-in and pack-out all food and waste. Each site also has a fire ring and grate.

Mountain Bridge Wilderness Area – Activities and Recreation

Outdoor recreation includes hiking, fishing, picnicking, photography and wildlife viewing.
