Badlands National Park Cedar Pass campground has 96 single-family campsites (some with electric hookups), with views of the mystical badlands formations. Most campsites are large and also include a table, shade canopy, grill and fire ring. There are just a few trees that offer little shade at the campground. Group campsites are also available. Sage Creek Campground offers primitive camping (no reservations).
Amenities include drinking water and flush toilets. The park also has a lodge, visitor center, restaurant, gift shop, cultural exhibits and many hiking trails. Cell service is poor in the area.
Badlands National Park in South Dakota offers many striking geologic features and contain one of the world’s richest fossil beds. The Park’s 244,000 acres include an expanse of mixed-grass prairie where bison, bighorn sheep, prairie dogs and black-footed ferrets live.
