Dutchman Campground has 45 single-family campsites and is located on the northeast shore of Deerfield Reservoir in the Black Hills National Forest. There are 34 reservable sites and 11 first-come, first-serve sites.
Campsite can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Parking pads range from 39 to 99 feet with most in the 50 foot range. Each site also has a table fire ring and grate. Amenities include potable (drinking) water and vault toilets. Firewood is also available for purchase from the camp host. Hookups are not available. Cell service is poor in the area.
Outdoor recreation in the area includes boating, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, OHV trail riding, picnicking, hunting and wildlife viewing. There’s also a swim beach near the campground.
Other campgrounds in the area include Whitetail, Pactola Reservoir, Orveille, Bear Gulch, Roubaix Lake, Willow Creek Horse Camp and Horsethief Lake Campground.
