Pierson Ranch Recreation Area Campground has 67 single-family campsites and is located just below Gavins Point Dam and adjacent to Lake Yankton. Some of the campsites have electrical hookups. Two cabins are also available for rent.

The campground has many large trees and most of the spacious campsites have shade. Campsites are suitable for tents, trailers and RVs. Each site also has a table, fire ring and grate.  Campground amenities include drinking water, vault & flush toilets, hot showers and a dump station. There’s also a playground, sports courts and picnic area.

Pierson Ranch Recreation Area – Activities & Info

Located between Chief White Crane and Lewis & Clark Recreation Areas, visitors can take advantage of a wide variety of recreation opportunities in all three parks. Outdoor activities including fishing, water-skiing, boating, sailing, swimming, ATVing, archery, disc golf, hiking, horseback riding, hiking, biking and wildlife viewing. Visitors can also enjoy snowmobiling, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing during the winter.
