Randall Creek Recreation Area campground has 132 campsites and is located on the banks of the Missouri River, downstream from Fort Randall Dam. Some sites have electric hookups. Cabins and group camping are also available.
Campground amenities include drinking water, flush & vault toilets, showers and a dump station. There’s also a playground and picnic area. Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Each site also has a table, fire ring and grill.
The campground is closed during the Bald Eagle nesting season (Oct 1 through April).
The area is famous for the Lewis and Clark expedition, which came up the river in August of 1804. Outdoor recreation in the area includes boating, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, swimming, water sports, hiking, biking, hunting, picnicking, disc golf and wildlife viewing. The area offers great fishing, boating, hunting and wildlife viewing. There’s also a trapshooting/rifle range.
North Point Recreation Area is also nearby.
