Sheridan Lake Campground (South Shore) has 129 spacious campsites in 5 loops and is located next to the lake in the Black Hills National Forest. Some sites are waterfront.
The campground is open year-round. There are 89 reservable sites (Jan 1 through September) and the rest are first-come, first-serve. All campsites are first-come, first-serve Oct 1 through Dec 31.
Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Each site also has a table, fire ring and grill. Campground amenities include water (spigots), vault toilets and trash collection. A boat ramp is also located at the campground. Firewood is available for purchase from the camp host(s). Cell service is not available in the area.
Outdoor recreation in the area includes boating, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, swimming, water sports, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, OHV trail riding, picnicking and hunting. Wildlife viewing is also nice in the area. Winter sports include ice-fishing, snow-shoeing and cross-country skiing.
