  1. Missy Gallagher says:

Too many rules ruin a picturesque park. Park on the Old Hickory lake with sites right by the water, but NO SWIMMING whatsoever allowed, cool trails but NO BIKING allowed on trails, NO KIDS in parking lot of camp store ???, NO WINE OR BEER , etc. There is a playground for little kids. There is a small boat dock for campers; so, if you bring a boat, you can go out on lake to swim. We just brought kayaks.
Finally, the bathrooms were not very clean. They stunk so bad that you’ll want to get out of there fast! Gag!

  2. Diane Linder says:

Had a wonderful time here, great for hiking and kayaking and watching wildlife, lots of birds, lots of deer. Well maintained grounds, clean bathrooms. Camp host is very helpful and friendly. Will be back again!

  3. Kate Thomas says:

This is a lovely campground: great hiking trails, lovely river access for boating, friendly rangers, serviceable bathrooms-not spa level but they’re not supposed to be – lovely playgrounds – lots of nature to enjoy. The sites are lovely, for the most part – some are difficult to maneuver but most are spacious & shady with good water & electric connections – camp hosts are very friendly & helpful but are rule followers
