Cumberland Mountain State Park has 145 tent and RV campsites and is located near Byrd Lake in the 1,720-acre park. The RV sites have 30 & 50-amp hookups. Cabins, group camping and back-country sites are also available. Tent campsites can have up to 2 tents. Each campsite also has a table, fire ring and grill. Parking spurs are paved.
Campground amenities include drinking water, flush toilets, showers, trash collection and a camp store. The park also has a visitor center, gift shop, picnic areas, restaurant, volleyball court, tennis court, basketball court, sports fields, playground, amphitheater, swimming pool, boat dock, hiking and biking trails. Cell service is fair in the area.
Outdoor recreating includes paddle-boating (rentals available), kayaking, canoeing, swimming, fishing, hiking, mountain biking, birding, picnicking and wildlife viewing. And you can also play some volleyball, tennis, basketball and other sports.
