Floating Mill Park has 100 campsites and is located on the shores of scenic Center Hill Lake on central Tennessee’s Highland Rim. Many of the campgrounds have water views and 17 are waterfront. The campground is generally open mid April to early November.
Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. There are 92 sites with water & electric hookups, and 61 campsites allow for boat/trailer parking. Campsites 81-98 are walk to. One group site is also available. Each site also has a table, lantern post, BBQ pedestal, fire ring and grill. Campground amenities include drinking water, flush toilets, hot-water showers, laundry, a dump station and trash collection. Cell service is fair in the area. There’s also a boat ramp, boat trailer parking lot, fish cleaning station, a picnic / day-use area, playground, and mixed use trails.
Outdoor recreation includes boating, canoeing, kayaking, paddle-boarding fishing, swimming, water sports, hiking, biking, hunting, picnicking and wildlife viewing.
Center Hill Lake is surrounded by lush mixed hardwood forests in the hilly Highland Rim region. Whitetail deer, wild turkey, squirrels and rabbits roam the wooded hills in the area. There is also 9 miles of hiking trails that meander around the lake. The Lost Springs Trail loops for two miles above the campground and Hurricane Marina.
Other campgrounds in the area include Hurricane Bridge, Ragland Bottom and Long Branch.
