Pickett CCC Memorial State Park Campground has 26 campsites (16 with electric hookups) in a wooded area. Group camping, cabins and villas are also available.
Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Many of the sites have some issues with being level. The electric hookup sites include A1, A4, A7, A8, A11, A12, A14, A17, A18, A21, B4, B6, B8, B9 and B10. Each site also has a table, fire ring and grill. The Pickett Group Camp can handle up to 144 people and has a dining hall, kitchen and 6 bunkhouses.
Park/campground amenities include drinking water, flush toilets, hot-water showers, trash recycling and a dump station. There’s also a boat dock, recreation hall, picnic area, nature center and visitor center. Cell service is fair in the area.
Outdoor recreation includes swimming, boating, canoeing, paddle-boarding, kayaking, fishing, hiking, picnicking and wildlife viewing. Canoes, paddle-boards and fishing boats are available to rent from mid-April through October. Pickett was also the first state park in the southeast to be listed as a certified dark sky viewing location by the International Dark-Sky Association!
