Blanco State Park has a popular campground located on the banks of the Blanco River and has 28 single-family campsites. There are 16 full hookups sites and 12 with water & electric. Most of the sites have nice shade and are a short walk to the river’s edge.  The campground is also located directly off U.S. Highway 281.

Campground amenities include drinking water, flush toilets, hot showers and a dump station. There’s also a day use/picnic area, group pavilion, playground and State Parks store. Each site also has a table, fire ring and grate.

Blanco State Park – Area Recreation

The 105-acre Blanco State Park is a popular recreation area right along the banks of the Blanco River. Activities include camping, swimming, picnicking, hiking, nature study, boating (electric motors only), and fishing. Tube, canoe and kayak rentals are available at the park. The Blanco Classic Car Show is also usually held on the third Saturday in May.
