  1. Do the enclosed shelters have lights or just electricity?
    Thank you

  2. Samme Harris says:

Beautiful area. Crisp, clear, clean water. Site 64 was wonderful. Clean bathrooms with nice showers. If u r wanting to swim this may not be the park for u unless u have a boat. It is great boating but poor access to water from campsites. Chiggers are also a problem so be forewarned.

i have made every effort to find a map of all the rv camp
sites at Jim Hogg park. I find all kinds of info but not a map. Thanks

    • Hi Ronald,
      You can click on the ‘Campground Map’ button to see a map of Jim Hogg Park. It also has a legend indicating which sites have RV hookups: 1-7, 9-18, 20-29, 31-38, 40-49, 51-59, 61-68, 70-74, 76-79, 81-91, 93,101, 103-109, 111,-121, 123-131, 133-139, and 141-148.

The phone number you give is of no use. Without knowing an extension all you have is the recorded message. How do you get some one on the phone? 0 does not work.

    • Hi Mark,
Unfortunately that’s the only phone number we have for Jim Hogg Park. I agree – it’d be nice if they had a menu option to talk to a live body. We will keep checking to see if we can find another phone number.

  5. Larry Grimes says:

Do the camp sites have 50 amp electric hookups?

    • Hi Larry,
Yes, the campsites at Jim Hogg Park have 50 amp and 30 amp (depending on the campsite). You can click on the ‘Make A Reservation’ button to check availability, which sites have 30 or 50 amp, pricing and make a reservation.

  6. Do you have firewood for sale? Is there currently a burn ban, or are fires in the fire rings allowed?

    • Hi Kristi,
You can purchase firewood from the camp host. There is currently not any fire restrictions (other than all fires must be in campsite fire rings). You can always check by calling Jim Hogg Park at: (512) 930-5253

  7. JoAnn Young says:

Do you need to reserve a campsite in order to use the dump station or can you pay a fee to use it without a reservation

    • Hi JoAnn,
Pretty sure you can use the Jim Hogg dump station w/o having a camper reservation. You may want to call to double check though: 512 930-5253
