Lost Maples State Natural Area campground has 30 single-family campsites (all with electric hookups) next to the Sabinal River in the Edwards Plateau Region of Texas. Group camping is also available.You can also hike a few miles to the 30 primitive campsites (backpacking equipment required).
Campground amenities include drinking water, flush toilets, showers and a dump station. There’s also a visitor center/museum at the park. Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Each site also has a table, fire ring and grate. The campground roads and camping pads are paved.
Visitors can enjoy hiking, backpacking, biking, fishing, swimming, kayaking, canoeing, picnicking, stargazing and wildlife viewing. You can also explore archaeologic sites and the Big Tooth Maple offers some beautiful fall foliage usually the last two weeks in October and first two weeks of November.
