South Llano River State Park campground has 58 single-family campsites and is located close to the South Llano River on the southwestern edge of the Hill Country. Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Each campsite also has water/electric hookups, a table, fire ring and grate. There are also 6 walk-in (tent only) sites and 5 hike in primitive sites (tent only). Group camping is also available.

Campground amenities include drinking water, flush & vault toilets and hots showers.  There’s also picnic areas, amphitheater, interpretive trails and ranger station.

South Llano river State Park – Area Recreation

Outdoor recreation activities include swimming, tubing, kayaking, fishing, hiking, picnicking, mountain biking and stargaze. There’s also some great wildlife viewing in the area.  The park has 2 miles of river frontage, with multiple put-in and take-out points along the way.  The park also rents tubes, but you’ll need to bring your own swimsuit.
