Cowboy Campground Utah

Cowboy Overview

Cowboy 001

Cowboy Campground offers 6 primitive (tent-only) campsites on a bluff with spectacular views of the high desert mesas near Canyonlands and Deadhorse Point State Park. No spurs or hats needed, just bring your tent and settle in for beautiful sunsets and amazing stars at night. Campsites also have a table, fire ring and grate. Amenities include an open-roof vault toilet (better for the smell that way). No water is available so be sure to bring your own.

Cowboy Campground – Area Recreation & Activities

As mentioned, the sunset viewing and stargazing is incredible. You can also head up the road to the Island in the Sky area of Canyonlands National Park or Deadhorse Point State Park.  Other activities include OHVing, hiking, mountain biking, picnicking, and wildlife viewing.

Other campgrounds in the area include Horsethief and Island in the Sky (Willow Flat).
