Dead Horse SP is the perfect place to camp if you want to visit Arches NP and Canyonlands NP. It’s located less than a half hour from each park and is near MOAB. We stayed in the newest CG called Wingate. It has 31 sites, including Yurts. Each has a metal shelter, firepit, and picnic table. Bring bungees and shades for keeping the wind out. Magnetic lights are a good choice! Note the tent pads are small! They specify they are 11 x 15. Not true. Our tent barely fit, 14 x 10. Avoid the handicap spot, 49. It’s a 2 ft step UP into the pad. Avoid spot 47. The light from the bathroom is way too bright and the noise from the doors slamming is loud. There are critters looking for food, foxes, and chipmunks so don’t leave any food out. There is a kitchen sink for dishwashing and the bathrooms are well lit and maintained. Observed that some people do take a sponge bath in them, however. The visitor center is a short walk from the campground and sells ice and firewood.
