Deer Creek State Park is located next to Deer Creek Reservoir and has two campgrounds including Great Horned Owl (21 campsites) and Chokecherry (40 campsites). The Park and Reservoir are very popular for recreation and camping.
Chokecherry campground offers 40 sites (30 with full hookups) and is located next to Deer Creek Reservoir in the southwest corner of Heber Valley. Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Each site also has a table, fire ring and grate. Group camping is also available.
The campground is open year-round and amenities include drinking water, flush toilets, hot showers and an RV dump station. There’s also a boat ramp, fish cleaning station and picnic area. A concessionaire provides a restaurant, boat rentals, gasoline, and sundries.
Great Horned Owl campground has 21 paved sites and is also next to Deer Creek Reservoir. Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs (up to 55 feet). Each site also has a table, and most either have a fire ring/grate or BBQ pedestal.
Campground amenities include drinking water, flush toilets, hot showers and an RV dump station. There’s also a boat ramp, fish cleaning station, picnic area, boat rentals, restaurant small store nearby.
Outdoor activities in the areas include boating, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, wind surfing, sunbathing, swimming and sail boating. Biking, hiking and wildlife viewing are also popular.
