Fremont Indian State Park Castle Rock Overview

Fremont Indian State Park Castle Rock Campground has 31 single-family campsites nestled in a beautiful canyon about 1/2 mile from the visitor center. Cabins, group and teepee sites are also available. Nearby Sam Stowe campground has 7 full hookup sites.

Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. There are no hookups. Each site also has a table, fire ring and grate. Campground amenities include drinking water, flush toilets and showers. There’s also a visitor center, museum and picnic area.

Fremont Indian State Park – Area Recreation

The Park protects the largest known Fremont Indian village archeological site, artifacts and rock art/petroglyphs in North America.  Area activities include an extensive ATV trail system, fishing, hiking, museum, and wildlife viewing. Big Rock Candy Mountain and Kimberly Ghost Town are also within 8 miles of the campground.

Sam Stowe campground is also in Fremont Indian State Park. You may also be interested in the four campgrounds at Palisade State Park: Sanpitch, Arapeen, Pioneer and Wakara.
