Sam Stowe Campground is located in a beautiful canyon of Fremont Indian State Park and has 7 single-family campsites (full hookups), 1 group campsite, 2 cabins and 1 modern “pithouse”. The group site has three individual parking areas for trailers/RVs, with a separate area for group tents and tables.

Campground amenities include drinking water, flush toilets and coin operated showers. The campsites have 30/50 power, a table, fire ring and grate. Each cabin has electricity, lights, table, chairs, bunk beds and futon. There is also a microwave and small refrigerator. The pithouse has 4 twin beds and one queen bed. It also has electric outlets.

Sam Stowe – Area Recreation

The Park protects the largest known Fremont Indian village archeological site, artifacts and rock art/petroglyphs in North America.  Area activities include an extensive ATV trail system, fishing, hiking, museum, and wildlife viewing. Big Rock Candy Mountain and Kimberly Ghost Town are also within 8 miles of the campground.
