Goose Island Campground has 18 campsites and is located within Arches National Park in a stunning canyon on the banks of the Colorado River. All sites are first-come, first-serve. Navajo Sandstone cliffs soar above the river directly across from the campground. These cliffs provide the scenic backdrop to the campground, and also offer early shade in the summer months.
Amenities include vault toilets, but no drinking water. Each campsite also has a table, fire ring and grill. Group campsites can be reserved.
Outdoor recreation includes rafting, kayaking, canoeing, fishing, climbing, hiking, picnicking and wildlife viewing. There’s also some great mountain biking and OHV trails in the area.
Other campgrounds in the area include Big Bend, Upper Big Bend, Hal Canyon, Granstaff, Drinks Canyon, Devils Garden (Arches National Park) and Oak Grove.
