Hittle Bottom Campground has 15 single-family campsites along the banks of the Colorado River with spectacular views of Fisher Towers and the areas red rock formations. The single-family campsites are first-come, first-serve. Two group campsites are also available and can be reserved.
Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Single family campsites can have up to 2 vehicles and 10 people per site. Each site also has a table, fire ring and grill. Campground amenities include vault toilets and trash collection. Potable (drinking) water is not available. A boat ramp is also located at the campground. Cell service is poor.
Hittle Bottom Group campsite can accommodate from up to 10 vehicles and 30 people. No water is available, but they do have tables, vault toilets, shade shelters, fire ring and grills.
Other campgrounds in the area include Lower Onion Creek and Dewey Bridge. Both are next to the Colorado River.
Outdoor recreation in the area includes rafting, kayaking, canoeing, fishing, rock climbing, hiking, mountain biking, OHV trail riding, stargazing, picnicking and wildlife viewing. The town of Moab is also about 40 minutes away and has dining, shopping, sports rentals, tour companies and museums.
