Indian Creek Falls Group Site is located among spectacular red sandstone formations near the Needles District of Canyonlands National Park. The primitive BLM group campground is open year-round and is in a small bowl just above the terrace of Indian Creek. The area is also a popular filming area because of its classical western look.
The one group site can accommodate up to 30 people and 10 vehicles. It is best suited for tent camping but camper vans and small trailers/RVs will also work (in the gravel general parking area). The group site also has a large covered (shaded) eating area with tables, a fire ring and grill. Amenities iclude a vault toilet but (potable) drinking water is not available. Cell service is not available.
Other campgrounds in the area include Hamburger Rock, Creek Pasture and Superbowl. You might also like Needles Campground (Canyonlands National Park).
The Indian Creek Corridor has gained international recognition for its extraordinary natural beauty and numerous recreational opportunities. Spectacular landscapes along with rich archeological resources provide visitors with an abundance of recreational opportunities. These opportunities include: hiking, biking, cultural resource viewing, camping, off-highway vehicle (OHV) use, rock climbing, horseback riding, wildlife viewing, sightseeing and scenic photography. Stargazing is also incredible.
