Ledgefork Campground has 73 campsites and is located in a forested area along Smith & Morehouse Creek and near where it enters the reservoir.
Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Camp roads and parking spurs are paved. There are 67 single-family sites (51, 52 and 53 are tent only), and 6 double-family sites (up to 16 people). Hookups are not available but each site has a table, fire ring and grill.
The campground is generally open mid May to late October. Campground amenities include drinking water, vault toilets and trash collection. Firewood is also available to purchase from the camp host. Cell service is not available in the area.
Smith and Morehouse Campground (34 campsites) is also just 2 miles away.
Outdoor recreation in the area includes boating, canoeing, kayaking, paddle-boarding, fishing, swimming, hiking, mountain biking and picnicking. Wildlife viewing is also great in the area.
The reservoir is open to motorized boats, though a wake-less speed is enforced. A boat ramp is located on the northwest shore.
The 12-mile round-trip Smith and Morehouse Trail is also popular with hikers and backpackers. The trail begins in the campground and leads through forests, meadows and a marsh before spurring off to Erickson Basin and Island Lake.
