Mitt Moody Overview
Mitt Moody Campground has 3 walk-to (tent only) campsites that are on a hillside and close to a stream. All sites are first-come first serve and require a short walk from the parking area. Parking is limited to one vehicle and all gear needs to be packed in/out.
The campground is generally open mid May to early September. Amenities include drinking water and vault toilets. Trash services are not provided (please pack out garbage). Cell service is poor in the area.
Mitt Moody Campground – Area Recreation & Activities
Pine Valley is situated in the Pine Valley Mountains. A beautiful forest of Ponderosa pine and oak covers the area, offering partial shade. Mountain mahogany, juniper and sagebrush dot the landscape. Outdoor recreation in the area includes fishing, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, picnicking and stargazing. Wildlife viewing is also pretty good in the area.
Other Pine Valley Recreation Area campgrounds include Crackfoot, Dean Gardner, Ebenezer Bryce, Equestrian, Yellow Pine and Effie Beckstrom (Group).
