Monte Cristo Campground has 44 campsites and is the highest campground in the Ogden District at 9,000 feet. Campsites are surrounded by spruce and Douglas fir. Sites 26 and 27 are also available for group camping.
Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs (20 to 55 feet). Each site has a table, fire ring and grill.
The campground is usually open from early July through mid October. Amenities include drinking water, vault toilets and trash collection. Firewood is also available to purchase from the camp host. Cell service is poor in the area.
Other campgrounds in the area include Perception Park (14 miles) and South Fork (15 miles).
Outdoor recreation in the area includes hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, OHV trail riding, hunting, picnicking and wildlife viewing. Stargazing is great and you can also see some summer wildflowers and nice falls colors. Sugar Pine Creek is also nearby.

The sites for.trailers have not been measured correctly. We could fit in our site 33. The camp host says is for 24 foot trailer. The spots are just wide pull outs. Roads are narrow and overgrown. Only recommend for tent camping. Camp.didnt have water either.
Hi Tammarah,
Thanks for your review and info on the incorrect size measurements for the campsites. Hopefully Rec.gov will get the correct measurements and update their website.
