Natural Bridges National Monument – Area Recreation

Natural Bridges National Monument was established in 1908 and features spectacular geological arch features to hike, explore and photograph. At about 6,500 feet, the Monument offers moderate temperatures, wildflowers and a dandy fall bloom. The main hiking loop trail offers visitors the opportunity to see the Sipapu Bridge, Horse Collar Ruin, Kachina Bridge, Owachomo Bridge and Solar Power System (if you’re in to that).  Several short hikes also let you get closer to the bridges and other features.

Nizhoni Campground also offers some nice high-country camping in the Monti La-Sal National Forest. You might also like Sand Island Recreation Area.
