Navajo Lake Campground Dixie National Forest Utah

Navajo Lake Overview

Navajo Lake Campground has 28 campsites and is located on the south shore of Navajo Lake in the Dixie National Forest. There are 15 single sites, one double site and 11 walk-to tent only sites. Campsites 2, 9, 13, 14, 25 and 27 are reservable, the rest are first-come, first serve. Parking spurs range from 30 to 60 feet.

Each site has a fire ring and a picnic table. Drinking water is available through spigots, there are flush toilets and a accessible vault toilet. There is also a primitive (dirt) boat landing located within the campground for smaller vessels.

The campground provides a spectacular setting for boating, camping, fishing, hiking, biking and photography. Boat rentals, launching, and cabin lodging are available at nearby Navajo Lake Lodge. The Virgin River Rim Trail is accessible from the campground; it offers panoramic views of Zion National Park, Virgin River Rim and the Kolob Plateau. Cell service is not available in the area.

Area Recreation & Activities

Outdoor recreation in the area includes boating, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, hiking, biking, picnicking and wildlife viewing. The 34-mile Virgin River Rim Trail also passes near the campground and is open to hiking, mountain biking and horseback riding.
