Perception Park Campground has 16 single family campsites among shady cottonwoods and along the banks of the beautiful South Fork Ogden River. There are also 3 group campsites available (up to 50 people each).
The campground was originally built for the use of the physically challenged, but it is not for their exclusive use. Amenities include drinking water, vault toilets, trash collection, a volleyball court, horseshoe pits and playground. There’s also a paved nature trail, with viewing platforms/benches, alongside the river. Firewood is also available for purchase from the camp host. Cell service is not available.
Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Each site also has a paved parking spur, table, cement table pad, BBQ pedestal, fire ring and grill.
Outdoor recreation in the area includes fishing, hiking, mountain biking, swimming, tubing, horseshoes, volleyball, ATV trail riding, picnicking and wildlife viewing.
Other campgrounds in the area include Magpie, South Fork, Botts, Upper Meadows, Lower Meadows and Willows. You may also like Monte Cristo Campground up in the high country at 9,000 feet.
