Red Cliffs campground has 11 single-family campsites and is located in a beautiful reddish-orange canyon within a Desert Reserve. Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs.  Each campsite also has a table, shade shelter, fire ring and grate.

All campsites require reservations. Sites 8 and 11 are accessible for visitors with disabilities, while sites 6, 7 and 10 have pull-through parking. Only two vehicles are allowed per campsite. Accessible vault toilets are located between sites 5 and 7. Pets must be on a leash and under control at all times. Quiet hours are from 9 pm to 7 am. Firewood is also available for sale from the camp host. Some cell service is available in the area.

Red Cliffs – Area Recreation

The area offers visitors to explore the beautiful Desert Reserve and nearby Cottonwood Wilderness Study Area. Outdoor activities include hiking, mountain biking, picnicking, birding and wildlife viewing. You can also hike to see dinosaur tracks, archaeologic and other historic sites.

You may also be interested in Pine Valley Recreation Area, Lava Point (Zion National Park), Quail Creek State Park or Sand Hollow State Park.

  1. Please update the content on your website for the Red Cliffs Campground. The information posted on your site is severely out of date and causing confusion for visitors and campers. Reservations are required for all sites. Current information may be found on the BLM website.

  2. This is a beautiful campground, although it tends to get busy during the day. Also, both times I’ve been here, there have been rock climbers behind campsites 1 and 2, even though there is supposedly no rock climbing allowed here. Both climbing groups justified it by saying they have done it before, everyone does and there is even a climbing stake in the rock. This is a side of the camp area that looks nice and quiet and private until these guys come with their groups. So….RANGERS, would you please enforce this rule? Removing the climbing stake would help and give a much nicer camping experience for sites 1 and 2 so folks aren’t coming down the rock right into your site. Thank you
